Stable

Offered as a Christmas card only, this simple design reflects the simple birth of Jesus Christ. However, this image has a number of hidden-in-plain-view elements:

At the top of the roof is a bird representing the Holy Spirit … the beams of the roof above Jesus form a cross and rays of glory, and the cross itself has three golden nails located in the same place He would be crucified in later years … the inn’s signpost on the right hand wall Hebrew for Jesus … there is a beam with His name above Him … beneath the left hand window are three wooden slats and under the other window are X V and I … these are Roman numerals for 3 and 16 representing John 3:16 in the Bible and the reason for Jesus’ birth. To the left of the stable are a couple of small lambs lying down - Jesus was the lamb.
