The Red Baron
Manfred von Richthofen, more popularly known as The Red Baron due to the colour of his aircraft, was a German WW1 fighter pilot ace officially credited with 80 kills.
The original artwork is framed behind museum quality low reflective art glass and has a full size reproduction “Blue Max” medal mounted beneath Richthofen himself, which had been awarded to him in 1917. Officially named “Pour le Merite”, this was Germany’s highest military medal awarded during WW1 (in spite of its very French sounding name). He was killed in combat on 21 April 1918.
Prints are limited to just 20 and are of von Richthofen only.
